We had a great group for our February Informational Tour of the Wheeling Center for Independence, the newly renovated Avenues to Independence site which strives to provide day services in a relevant, modern and welcoming environment.
Currently serving an average of 140 clients each day, the Center allows participants to choose from a wide variety of activities including art classes, computer lab, music, exercise and more. In addition, their on-site developmental training program offers the opportunity to work and earn a paycheck.
Thank you to Community Liaison Amy Landreth for organizing and facilitating our tour and to Vocational Director Ron Reeves and Director of Admissions Joni Kraft for also showing us around. For more information about Avenues to Independence, visit their website at https://avenuestoindependence.org/
