Our February Informational Tour took us to eWorks Electronics Services, Inc. in Elk Grove Village. Attendees were given an overview of eWorks and their employment process followed by a tour of their facility where we were able to see some of their employees at work. Established in New York in 2009, eWorks is a not-for-profit business whose mission is to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities. eWorks achieves this mission by providing secure and environmentally safe electronics recycling and refurbishment services to both local communities and large global corporations across the United States. With over half of their diverse labor force made up of workers with a developmental disability, eWorks Elk Grove partners with area service providers to help facilitate the hiring process and to provide support as needed.
