Things really got rolling at our third annual Bunco fundraiser, held on April 29 at the Knights of Columbus in Arlington Heights. We had a great mix of veteran and first-time Bunco players and as the accompanying photos show, the “Bunco Boa” (awarded to anyone rolling a Bunco) had a very busy night traveling around the room. Congratulations to all our Bunco winners: Kyleen Fabry for most wins, and in a tie for most Buncos, Chris Cuevas, Ali Meehan and Barbara Vincenzo. Along with the fierce yet friendly competition, attendees enjoyed an assortment of sweet treats while trying their luck on a variety of raffle baskets and split-the-pot.
Special thanks to our always wonderful Bunco Caller Micki Naylor, bartender extraordinaire John Naylor (who also donated all his tips back to CTC), and volunteers Colin Botwinski, Meg Groh, Danielle James, Lisa & Michael Maniola, and Carol Sladek. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We’d also like to recognize the following businesses and organizations who made donations in support of this event: d’Vine Wine, Palatine; Gino’s East, South Barrington; Jarosch Bakery, Elk Grove Village; Jewel-Osco, Rolling Meadows; Mariano’s, Arlington Heights; Mariano’s, Palatine; Merle Norman, Buffalo Grove; Nothing Bundt Cakes, Mount Prospect; St. Edna’s SPRED.
And finally, thank you to everyone who attended this fun event. We greatly appreciate your support of Connect to Community and our mission to improve the lives of young adults with developmental disabilities. We hope to see you again next year!
