Connect to Community is honored to have again received $2,000 from Palatine Township and its Human Needs Committee to help finance our Educational Outreach initiative. Educational Outreach programming provides valuable information and resources to families of young adults with developmental disabilities on topics such as day services, vocational options, residential models, government benefits, special needs financial planning, secondary education, and much more.
Educational Outreach events include monthly Friday Forum seminars held at the Palatine Library, monthly Informational Tours, and an annual Transition Summit, and we are pleased that many area educators and service providers also attend and share the information with the families that they serve.
Township funding also allows us to video our Friday Forum events so that the information can be made available to those who are unable to attend in person.
